Q: How did you come up with your name (HenryT)?
A: It was suggested by our uncle, one of the real Henry T's great-grandsons. HenryT is a tribute to our great-great-grandfather Henry T. Johnson (on our mom's side). It's our way of keeping our history in focus at all times. Henry T. and our other great-great-grandfather (William Freeman) and their wives were all in attendance at Harriet Tubman's funeral in Auburn, NY on March 13, 1913. Harriet Tubman was a cousin to the Johnson's as we have learned from older family members. So we thought it would be really cool to honor old (click) Henry T with song and name (all of the Johnson men loved to sing we're told).

Q: How long have you been singing together?
A: We started as kids, but really got it together when we entered high school and started performing in H.S. choir and various talent shows around metro NY. We've also sung under the names of DeJaVu and Styles (with Natalie and Nicole who are now performing under the name Nina Sky).

Q: Are you going to remain a duo or will you hook up with some other ladies and form a group?
A: We're no longer considering having a male singer join us, but we'll stay open to our options. We prefer to remain a duo.

Q: Where are you from and what schools did you attend?
A: We were born and raised in New York City (Queens). Although we now attend college, we received a great deal of training, motivation and guidance from our attending Professional Performing Arts High School.

Q: Are you working on a special project now?
A: Yes, but mostly trying to get as much studio time as we can.
